A two-year extra work period will be granted to international higher education graduates with eligible qualifications starting 1 July 2023. International students will be able to work up to 48 hours per fortnight instead of 40.
Two-year extensions of post-study work rights
Graduates with select degrees that are in areas of verified skill shortage can extend their post-study work rights for two years.
As a result of this extension, eligible international higher education graduates will have an additional two years on their Temporary Graduate Visa (485).
