REQUIREMENTS
Have your Registration of Interest (ROI) selected
Hold a valid skills assessment in an occupation on the eligible skilled occupation list
If onshore: currently living and working in regional Victoria in skilled employment
If offshore: residency requirement does not apply
Be under 45 years of age
Be committed to living in Victoria
Have at least Competent English
Score at least 65 points in your EOI in SkillSelect
HOW TO APPLY
Submit an EOI via SkillSelect
Submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) via the Live in Melbourne portal
If invited, submit a nomination application in the portal
If successful, lodge your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs
New South Wales
REQUIREMENTS
Meet all Home Affairs requirements for Subclass 491
Be skilled in an occupation on the NSW Skilled Work Regional Skills List within an eligible ANZSCO unit group
Currently reside in NSW or offshore and have done so continuously for at least 3 months
Meet the minimum skilled work experience and point score for your unit group
Queensland
REQUIREMENTS
Be invited to apply
Be nominated or sponsored
Be under 45 at time of invitation
Score 65 points or more
Not have had a previous visa cancelled or application refused
South Australia
REQUIREMENTS
Be under 45 at time of nomination
Hold a valid skills assessment
Have an occupation listed on South Australia's Skilled Occupation List
HOW TO APPLY
Lodge an EOI in SkillSelect, selecting South Australia and Subclass 491. Record your EOI ID.
Submit a state nomination application via the SA Skilled & Business Migration portal
Track your application online
If approved for nomination, you'll receive a Home Affairs invitation to apply for the visa
Lodge your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs

Western Australia
REQUIREMENTS
Hold a relevant skills assessment
Be under 45 years old
Be nominated by Western Australia
Score 65 points or more (state nomination adds an automatic 5 bonus points to your EOI)
Meet English language requirements
Have an occupation on the relevant occupation list
Note: All of Western Australia is currently a designated regional area.
Northern Teritory
REQUIREMENTS
Be under 45 at time of nomination
Hold a full skills assessment from a relevant Australian assessing authority
Meet minimum English: Competent (IELTS 6.0 in each band or equivalent)
Score 65 points or more
Australian Capital Teritory
REQUIREMENTS
Meet all Department of Home Affairs requirements for Subclass 491
Score at least 65 points on the Canberra Matrix (ACT nomination adds 15 bonus points to your EOI)
Have your nominated occupation on the ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List, or qualify through an alternative pathway
Meet slightly lower residency and employment thresholds than the 190 pathway (Canberra residents generally need at least 3 months' residence and 13 weeks' employment in Canberra)
Commit to living and working in Canberra for at least two years from the date of nomination approval

Register your interest by completing the Canberra Matrix
If you rank highly enough, you'll receive an invitation to apply for ACT nomination
Once nominated, lodge your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs
ACT nomination is highly competitive; meeting the eligibility criteria doesn't guarantee an invitation.
Tasmania
REQUIREMENTS
Under 45 years of age
Nominated occupation on the relevant Tasmanian skilled occupation list
Hold a valid and positive skills assessment for your nominated occupation
Have at least Competent English
Score at least 65 points on the points test (Tasmanian nomination adds 15 bonus points)
