The Victorian Government nominates NIV candidates who have already engaged with a Victorian Government department or agency. Victorian nomination gives your EOI Priority 2 status with the Department of Home Affairs.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Demonstrate exceptional talent through an internationally recognised record of achievement
Have an existing engagement with a Victorian Government department or agency on a project in your field
Be referred by a Victorian Government department or agency with expertise in your field
Be genuinely committed to living in and contributing to Victoria
Be under 55 (compelling case required for those under 18 or over 55)
INDICATORS OF EXCEPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT
Receipt of prestigious international awards
Significant research funding or advanced academic qualifications
High-profile keynote appearances or global leadership roles
Intellectual property rights or successful commercialisation outcomes
Proven innovation, entrepreneurial activity, sporting or creative achievements
HOW VICTORIAN NOMINATION WORKS
Engage with a Victorian Government department or agency on a relevant project
Be identified and referred by that agency based on your internationally recognised expertise
The agency prepares and provides you with the nomination document (Form 1000)
Submit your Home Affairs EOI together with the Victorian nomination document
