Starting from December 7, 2024, the new Skills in Demand (SID) visa will replace the current Temporary Skill Shortage (482 visa). Alongside this, the updated CSOL will apply to both the SID visa and the 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (Direct Entry).
🔑 Key Updates:1️⃣ Expanded Occupation List: The number of eligible occupations for the 186 Direct Entry pathway has grown from 216 to 456, opening up more opportunities for professionals to gain permanent residency via employer sponsorship.2️⃣ New SID List Applicability: The SID list will be used for both the SID visa and the 186 Direct Entry pathway.
