Business Startup Story – Just Enough Beach




We recently caught up with Lisa Wright, the founder of Just Enough Beach, to hear her inspiring business startup journey and learn some valuable tips for other small business owners:

How did you come up with this business idea?“This idea has been a long time in the making! We spent over a thousand hours testing to get the perfect combination of fragrance, jars, wicks, and wax. We wanted to create something we love, that can also pay the bills and eventually employ others.”

What motivated you to start your own business?“Living in a small regional area, I needed something that could provide employment and income. We also want to grow to the point where we can hire others and continue selling online.”

What has been the highlight for you?“The best part is the positive feedback from customers. We’ve put a lot of effort into testing the perfect blend of soy wax and fragrances, so it feels great to hear people say how much they love our candles! Another highlight has been the success of our Cocktails & Candles Workshops. Plus, I’ve recently started running candle-decorating workshops for kids through the local council, which booked out quickly.”

Any tips for other business startups?“Find your point of difference. There are lots of candle businesses out there, so we focused on making our candles unique with cocktail-inspired scents and eye-catching packaging. It’s also important to understand how your product can help others. Our candles give people a way to relax and take time for themselves. When your product makes people’s lives better, they’ll keep coming back. Believe in yourself, take that first step, and make sure you set up an online presence through a website and social media.”
