For Kim, floristry has been a lifelong passion, starting her creative journey at just 16. After years of working for others, Kim decided it was time to follow her dream and open her own boutique floristry business.
“I’ve always needed a creative job. I couldn’t imagine doing something that didn’t involve making and designing,” said Kim. Inspired by her vision to offer something unique in her local area, she leaped and launched Ivy Lane Floral Creations.
While searching for the perfect location, Kim faced a setback when the pandemic disrupted her original plan. However, she found an exciting opportunity to share space with The Raw Bar, a vegan food business. Here, Ivy Lane Floral Creations bloomed, offering beautiful indoor plants, designer pots, and trendy dried and preserved flowers. The two businesses' aesthetics complement each other, creating a charming and welcoming space for customers.
Kim’s boutique now thrives, offering made-to-order bouquets for weddings, events, and gifts. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, she’s enjoying the freedom and creativity that come with running her own business.
“I love my business and the flexibility it gives me to offer what I truly want to my customers,” said Kim.
Kim’s success is a testament to her determination, focus, and belief in her vision. If you’re ever in town, stop by Ivy Lane Floral Creations and experience the beauty of her designs firsthand!
