Under the vibrant sun of South Australia, sisters Karina and Samantha Seljak embarked on a unique entrepreneurial journey with their brand, Seljak Brand. Their success story is not just about achieving business goals but also about pioneering environmental innovation and social responsibility.

🌟 From Fashion to Eco-Friendly Transformation

With backgrounds in fashion and economics, Karina and Samantha decided to merge their skills to create a business that was both fulfilling and socially responsible. Their idea was inspired by Australia’s rich wool resources and focused on recycling wool. This approach not only extends the lifecycle of wool but also significantly reduces waste.

🌿 Innovative Environmental Model

Seljak Brand discovered a wool mill in Tasmania that allowed for the recycling of wool offcuts into high-quality blankets. Since launching their first blanket in 2016, they have diverted over 7000kg of textile waste from landfills.

🌍 A Global Green Vision

Today, Seljak Brand blankets are produced in Lithuania and Geelong using factory offcuts and old woolen jumpers. Excitingly, they are developing a fully compostable blanket to further reduce environmental impact.
